It will be good for certain users to do some image processing before uploading to the system.
Download ImageMagick here. Then you can do:
convert -monochrome inputfile outputfile
This converts to black and white, reduces the file size by up to 90% and also simplifies our solving process.

When I do this it fails 95% of the time and just outputs a blank image. WTF?!
