CAPTCHA Killer - Automated CAPTCHA Bypass

CAPTCHA Killer is 100% focused on increasing accessibility on the Internet. There are over 1 Million Americans that suffer from blindness. CAPTCHA Killer can be used to automatically translate an image into the underlying text. (CAPTCHA Killer may only be used in accordance with the Terms Of Service of each website* - please read the agreements.)

  • What's a CAPTCHA? - Its a funny, blurry, textual image that prevents robots from automating the web. Blind people can't see the image, and can't use the website!
  • What does a CAPTCHA look like? - Pretty damn funky. I can barely understand what they say.
Here's one, I think it says "tudexpa"

  • Won't spammers use this? - They wish! We don't do busines with spammers. We can detect and delete spammers from the system.
  • How will you help the blind? - We are integrating with screen reader software now. Please encourage your vendor to talk to us.

* We have been notified that using CAPTCHA Killer with Myspace is against their Terms of Service.

If I try to OCR a small 4-letter-captcha, everything works fine. However, when it comes to a bigger one, containing 6 letters, only the first three letters are returned. This seems to be a perfectly repeatable behavior, affecting all the 6-letter-captchas I've tested out.

The solution was working perfectly fine a week earlier. It suddenly seems to have stopped working. All requests raised today have expired. Can anybody help me understand the problem please?

Submitted by kingdom44 on Tue, 03/18/2008 - 12:08.

When I check the results of the image I upload and put it in the edit box, I keep getting a message saying the code was not entered correctly. I don't think the program they use to recognize the text is reading it correctly. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It's not working. I've tried to submit some capchas, and all they say is "processing"
I need this capcha to log into the site I'm trying to access!

Hello. I don't know why my space would not want to help the blind. I have a petition against them right here. http://www.petitiononline.com/my2016/petition.html
Maybe between you and me we can get my space to help the blind and not depend on the he sighted. You guys are wonderful!

Thanks for a wonderful service.

Submitted by BryanP2222 on Sat, 03/08/2008 - 18:44.

You'll have to forgive me for being skeptical. But that petition's been out for almost a year and so far nothing's been done. And all Myspace does is send out soome vague promise to make it more accessible? I'm sorry, but they're not doing a good job of keeping that promise. And when you write tech support about it all they do is tell you to enlarge the screen? What we really need to do is find a way to get this issue on the news.

I try emailing myspace and it does me no good. Myspace has them all over the place! I don't know if you heard of facebook or not but as soon as I emailed them I noticed an audio file a few months later.

I don't get why software could not be able to decrypt your handwritten image?

However, there IS proof they use humans: http://www.captchakiller.com/files/CE032B4A-2D58-AC84-A857-22CF072E885B....
was decrypted as "cow"...

Can I ask you how image recognition works? Any tips how are you doing this? I can’t believe that computer does it…

Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 08/05/2007 - 15:30.

They're using humans, not computers. Submitting an ambiguous captcha - such as a long sentence - will return different results over time. A static algorithm would produce the same result every time. Try it yourself uploading words.

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 12/18/2007 - 10:34.

happens also with short ambiguous captchas. and you get different results.
also, even relatively simple captchas get wrong results _sometimes_
not to mention that some "recognizer" (untrained indian i guess) recognizes always with lower case

Submitted by azerty on Thu, 12/13/2007 - 17:03.

Two possibilities:
1/ a spam firm that actually has captcha decrypting software, and uses this site to promote is
2/ human solvers

I already tried to find a undecryptable captcha, but even those of Digg, animated gifs, and other hand written images are decrypted?? And it happens so fast, within 100 seconds??

Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 12/23/2007 - 11:35.

I've posted a captcha with code 549AGFA on image and I've received 459AGFA in response. Of course, there is an error, '4' and '5' are swapped. If this algo is so great, how could it make such mistake? '4' looks completely different than '5', so the only possibility is a human mistake. Someone has a lot of captchas to solve and doing this quite fast has made a mistake. I know a lot about OCR and neuron networks and I must say that there is no algorithm which can make such mistake. So next time you will post captcha say "Hi" to someone who will be solving it :)

BTW. Authors of this website are completely noobs. They're trying to write a page in XHTML 1.0 but they have no idea what is this "XHTML". They are serving it as a tag soup with tags such as or ... They are also using some buggy template engine... If they are such great programmers, why they are not able to create a valid XHTML page?

Submitted by cheatnet4 on Fri, 12/28/2007 - 02:39.

That's a joke guys, comon, think about it. I submitted "What rhymes with bees?" and got "whatrhymeswithbees?". I submitted a green apple and got "0".

Submitted by azerty on Fri, 12/28/2007 - 07:08.

Plz check out the following image:
http://www.captchakiller.com/files/CE032B4A-2D58-AC84-A857-22CF072E885B....

It was decrypted as: "Cow" ;-)

To the anonymous user of the previous post: I suppose they use foreign human solvers that are possibly not very familiar with english. I'm foreign too and don't think "rhymes" is a very common word.

Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 11/16/2007 - 07:56.

Maybe it's not a static algorithm. Maybe they use a random number in there somewhere. Unless you've written a captcha solver yourself, you can't act like you know how it works.

The latest time I checked anonymous users had no access rights to post comments.... And why would someone not logged in with the site defend it??? Seems to be a site admin???

Submitted by DeathByNukes on Sun, 03/09/2008 - 23:20.

Look around; there are a lot of anonymous comments. They used to allow them.

Submitted by spiderniki on Fri, 09/14/2007 - 08:27.

lol you wish they are using humans. who is so nuts and crazy to write captchas for no money.think twice.

Submitted by StolenFlipFlops on Fri, 09/21/2007 - 19:07.

Once again. Submit an ambiguous captcha and you will receive different responses. I, personally, submitted a picture of an apple with the question "What kind of fruit is this?" written above the image. I received one reply of "apple" and then using the same image a second time received a reply "what kind of fruit are you?".

No computer algorithm would result in two responses so different. That, and the second reply is obvious evidence that human labor is involved.

Submitted by Evi1d33d on Thu, 12/20/2007 - 19:19.

I send a pic of a banana with "WHAT KINDA OF FRUIT IS THIS?" and I got "WHATKINDOFFRUIEISTHIS?" the 'A' after 'KINDA' is missing which can only come from a human error.

I also send a pic of goatse but I didn't get anything useful back :(
